Michael Strahan Joining Magic Mike XXL
News
Back in 2012, Michael Strahan broke out into his very own stripper dance for Channing Tatum, who was promoting Magic Mike at the time. It seems for Strahan showing off his dance moves has paid off. Yesterday, Strahan announced that he will be appearing in Magic Mike XXL. "I'm about to do something that started as a joke on the show. I decided to reenact some of [Tatum's] movie. So then he was messing around with me and wrote me into the next Magic Mike XXL movie." Although his co-host Kelly Ripa didn't believe him, Strahan insisted his initial strip tease was a joke not an audition. "That was a joke! And then every time Channing would come here, he would go, 'Are you ready?' even when we weren't on camera. And I would go, 'I stay ready! If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready,'" he explained. Strahan will join Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Jada Pinkett Smith in the film. The movie will be in theaters July 1, 2015.
THRILLER 3D Coming In 2015
News
Director John Landis is planning to release Michael Jackson's Thriller music video in 3D next year after settling a legal battle with the late entertainer's estate. Landis, who directed the 14-minute video, battled Jackson's executors over money he was allegedly owed for his work on the iconic film, but both parties reached a confidential settlement in 2012. Now the legal fight is over; Landis plans to revamp the 1983 short and re-release it 2015. He is in talks to show it in theaters and release it on DVD. Landis tells the New York Daily News, "That lawsuit went on for so many years, (but) we settled and they paid me finally... And so, actually there is something happening with Thriller. It is going to reappear in a highly polished and three-dimensional way that is very exciting on the big screen... I cannot tell you any more... I might have to kill you."
Walmart vs. Tracy Morgan
News
Things are starting to heat up in the case between Wal Mart’s truck driver and the people injured in the crash that hospitalized Tracey Morgan. Everyone in Mogan’s vehicle weren't wearing seatbelts in June when they were struck. Walmart says they should be to blame for their own injuries. Walmart's filing was made yesterday in federal court in response to a lawsuit Morgan, and the other passengers in his limo bus, filed in July. Morgan's friend James McNair was killed in the crash. Walmart didn't respond to claims that their driver, Kevin Roper, hadn't slept in more than 24 hours before the crash. The company did admit though that Morgan and his friends' injuries “may have been caused by third parties over whom Walmart had no control.”
