Kelly Osbourne Leaves Fashion Police
It’s official. Kelly Osbourne has left “Fashion Police,” to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers,” an E! representative said Friday afternoon. “’Fashion Police’ will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement,” the statement added. Early last week, Kelly threatened to quit the show after co-host Giuliana Rancic mocked the dreadlocks Disney star Zendaya wore to the Academy Awards. “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil … or weed,” Rancic said of Zendaya on Monday night’s episode. Osbourne tweeted that she didn’t “condone racism” and questioned her own return to “Fashion Police” if colleagues didn’t “make it right.” Zendaya, whom Osbourne said she considers a friend, accepted Rancic’s apology for the controversial comment, and Osbourne seemed to cool down regarding the matter. “It takes a strong women to apologize & makes a forgiving women even stronger! #ThisTooShallPass,” she tweeted on Wednesday. Osbourne has not commented on her departure or announced whether Rancic’s remarks prompted her departure.
Kid Rock vs. Beyonce
After Kid Rock told Rolling Stone that he’s “flabbergasted” by Beyonce’s popularity, her legion of fans have come to her defense. “Beyoncé, to me, doesn’t have a f**king ‘Purple Rain,’ but she’s the biggest thing on Earth,” Rock says, referring to the classic Prince track. “How can you be that big without at least one ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ or ‘Old Time Rock & Roll'”? The Beyhive wasted no time in pouncing on Rock’s controversial opinions, including his statement that Bey’s physique “doesn’t really f**king do much for me.” Beyonce’s fans swarmed Kid Rock’s Instagram page with the bee emoji and some even added mean-spirited comments. Commenting on one post, in which Kid Rock was promoting a concert, one fan wrote: “F**k yo tour.who the hell are u????F**k u kidrock.Don’t call for [Queen B] unless she calls 4 u.BEEHIVE lets STING!!!” Another chimed in: “When you try to knock down a beyhive you get STUNG.”
Ariana Grande Said She Almost Died
Ariana Grande says she almost died Wednesday on the start of her “Honeymoon Tour” in Kansas City. A wooden platform she that was supposed to take her onto the stage snapped, causing her to narrowly avoid getting crushed. Speaking in a Honeymoon Diaries video update titled “that time i almost died during love me harder (but actually this time) (sic),” she explained: “I almost died. I can’t stop thinking about this, because it was literally the craziest. So the wooden thing breaks and goes like this! (sic)” She then gestured how the panel had snapped from a horizontal to a vertical position, and went on to explain the terrifying moments which followed, during which she clung onto a beam until she was saved by crew members. She continued: “I’m about to be crushed by mechanical, by metal s**t and by wood and stuff, and I go like this and grab this thing.” However, the near-death experience didn’t faze her and she managed to continue singing. She added: “I didn’t drop the mic. I was like, ‘Oh I gotta keep singing.'”
William Shatner Misses Funeral
Poor William Shatner just loses a good friend and now he has come under attack for missing the funeral of his Star Trek co-star Leonard Nimoy yesterday. The 83-year-old star, who played Captain Kirk in the original 1960s TV series, was unable to attend the Los Angeles ceremony yesterday, which started to hours before he flew home from a pre-scheduled charity event in Florida. But despite tweeting tributes to Nimoy, and explaining that his two daughters were attending the memorial, Shatner became the target of social media trolls who slammed his absence. “Lame excuse. Man up,” one Twitter user wrote. Others demanded to know why Shatner did not pay $ 30,000 to fly back from Palm Beach to LA immediately after the Red Cross event on Saturday night. “Priceline? Do Red Cross event and then private jet to LA,” wrote Todd Schnitt, a host of a morning talk show on WOR AM 710. Another said: “Why not fly back right after?” Shatner responded to the trolls with memories of Nimoy. Family and close friends of the iconic actor who played Spock gathered at 9 a.m. yesterday to pay their respects after he passed away at his Bel Air, Los Angeles, home on Friday. Shatner was pictured catching an early flight yesterday with his wife Elizabeth from Palm Beach to Los Angeles. He landed at LAX at 11:30 a.m. and so would have been in air during the service. It is Jewish tradition for the dead to be buried within 24 hours of their passing. But, as the practice is forbidden on a Saturday, Nimoy was buried yesterday. The service was expected to take place near Nimoy’s LA home, with reports suggesting that it could be held at the Temple of Israel Los Angeles – where his family worshiped.
