Tiesto Brings the Traffic
Tiesto Brings the Traffic
This past weekend was quite busy for us here at Z103.5. On Saturday we were all over the map! Hundreds of people crowded Yonge Street and the surrounding HMV for a chance to see Tiesto spin live on Z103.5. DJ Danny D got the opening act honours while Hammer took care of the live action broadcast. Tiesto also treated fans to an autograph session. The atmosphere inside HMV on Saturday was electric and a great build up for his concert later that night inside Arrow Hall. If you weren’t lucky enough to make it down to the event, check out some of the pictures below.

In addition to the beats that were enjoyed by many inside 333 Yonge Street, we also spent the day inside and around Vaughn Mills. From 10-2, Ashley, Brenda and Phil were on location for the grand opening of Forever 21. I stopped by before my own event inside Prima Lighting (which was also in the Vaughn Mills complex) and I was amazed at how busy this place was. I can only imagine how good of a time Ashley had inside this store knowing full well about her shopping addictions. Across the way Prima Lighting had a big day as well. Previously located on Weston Road, Prima had a hot new spot in the heart of Vaughn Mills, right beside Stratusphere Yoga. Besides the stunning selection of lamps, chandeliers and other lighting designs, there was also the tasty selection of sandwiches, wraps, chocolate, and fruit. Tony, Iolanda and I all had a great time trying everything that was there to offer.

Trish Stratus, former WWE Diva and founder of Stratusphere Yoga, actually graced us with her presence. She came over and gave us pointers on how Yoga can help us radio DJ’s get the most out of our days. She invited us back to her studio for a ZTube interview and Yoga session so keep checking the ZTube for that! I promise it will be worth a look.

And just when you thought we were done, we storm on back Sunday for the Danny Dichio Soccer Tournament. Dave and I led the Z103.5 Soccer team to a bronze medal in a tournament that was tons of fun and full of everything you would expect from a soccer game. Dave is sporting a swollen finger due to a questionable sliding tackle from the Adidas team and I got a swift smack across my nose. But it didn’t faze us as we still beat Adidas, which helped us claim our Bronze medals. A special shout out to In2Sports, for joining forces with us when we needed the extra legs.

The medal comes at a good time as we celebrate Dave’s Birthday today. Happy Bday Dave!

Check out some photos from that below, but I also want to take this time to announce that we have a new home for our Live to Air’s for Saturday Nights. Come check out Tony Monaco at THE MANSION (102 Peter Street).
